Kingspan Tarec Industrial Insulation

Recticel and Kingspan of Ireland have decided to establish a joint venture Kingspan Tarec
Industrial Insulation.
Recticel will contribute its subsidiary Tarec, which is established in Turnhout (Belgium), to the
new structure. Kingspan is doing the same with its production plant in Glossop, England.
Recticel and Kingspan are each taking a 50% stake in the new structure.
Through the new joint venture, both groups will have the opportunity to utilise their technical
expertise and scope in the field of industrial insulation. The production of foam for insulation is
centralised in the Tarec plant in Turnhout, where the large blocks (slabstock) are cut into boards
(especially for refrigerated transport), plates, pipe insulation components, etc.
Insulation components finished with the help of the CPL (continuous pipe line) technology,
which do not need to be cut or frozen, are produced in the Glossop plant.
The turnover of the new joint venture is estimated for 2006 at EUR 35 million.

Recticel en de Ierse groep Kingspan hebben besloten de joint venture Kingspan Tarec
Industrial Insulation op te richten.
Recticel zal haar dochterondermening Tarec, die gevestigd is in Turnhout (België), inbrengen in
de nieuwe structuur. Kingspan doet hetzelfde met zijn productievestiging in het Engelse
Glossop. Recticel en Kingspan nemen elk een participatie van 50% in de nieuwe structuur.
In de nieuwe joint venture zullen beide groepen de kans krijgen om hun technische expertise op
het vlak van industriële isolatie ten volle te benutten. In de fabriek van Tarec in Turnhout wordt
de productie gecentraliseerd van isolatieschuim in blokken, die nadien verzaagd worden tot
platen (vooral voor gekoeld transport), schalen, elementen voor isolatie van leidingen, enz.
In de vestiging van Glossop worden met behulp van de CPL (Continuous Pipe Line)-technologie
afgewerkte isolatiecompontenten geproduceerd die niet hoeven uitgezaagd of –gefreesd te
worden.
De omzet van de nieuwe joint venture wordt voor 2006 geraamd op 35 miljoen EUR.

Recticel va intégrer sa filiale Tarec, établie à Turnhout (Belgique), dans la nouvelle structure.
Kingspan fera de même avec son usine de Glossop (Angleterre). Recticel et Kingspan prennent
chacun une participation de 50 % dans la nouvelle entreprise conjointe.
Au sein de celle-ci, les deux groupes auront l’occasion d’exploiter pleinement leur savoir-faire
technique dans le domaine de l’isolation industrielle. L’usine Tarec de Turnhout concentrera la
production de mousse d’isolation en blocs, qui sont ensuite sciés en panneaux (essentiellement
pour le transport frigorifique), plaques, éléments d’isolation pour conduites, etc.
Quant au site de Glossop, il produira à l’aide de la technologie CPL (Continuous Pipe Line) des
éléments d’isolation finis qui ne doivent être ni sciés, ni fraisés.
Le chiffre d’affaires de la nouvelle entreprise conjointe est estimé à 35 millions d’euros pour
2006.
